HandOut is a legal exhibit and session platform for depositions, hearings, and client meetings. Priorities: attorney control, a clean record, reliability, and security.
Why it exists
Mid-exam email chains, Zoom windows on the wrong page, and a pile of sticky labels do not belong in a high-stakes room. HandOut mirrors the physical world attorneys already trust: folders as binders, marking as stickers, sessions as deposition rooms. The host stays in charge. Participants do not wander.
Who it is for
Attorneys who want control and an unambiguous exhibit/page on the record. Paralegals who prep the binder. Witnesses and clients who need a simple join. Court reporters who need the same document the witness is looking at. Organization admins who manage seats and billing.
How we design
Risk minimization beats novelty. If a feature could confuse the record, we do not ship it. Learnability target: a paralegal should be productive in under five minutes. If there is any doubt about what is shared, HandOut stops sharing instead of guessing.
